1. Product Overview
Radar Level Meter (LM) is one industrial online material level detection instrument, which can measure the material level in bunker or storage tank. Since the radar wave propagates in a straight line in the air, the selected installation position of the radar level meter should accurately reflect the radar wave back to the radar antenna to reduce the interference wave reflected by the interference object and make the Radar Type Level Transmitter accurately reflect the real level. Generally speaking, in practical applications, the installation of the Radar Level Gaugeprobe has the following requirements:
1. When installing Radar Level Meter timing, avoid vibration, high pressure cleaning and lateral load installation to avoid instrument damage.
2. When installing the Radar Level Transmitter, avoid the material inlet as much as possible to prevent the falling material from interfering with the measurement echo and affecting the measurement.
3. When installing radar material level timing, try to avoid installing the instrument in a place with strong eddy current. If there is agitation or a strong chemical reaction on site, it is best to use a still-wave tube or a bypass tube for measurement.
4. In order to avoid the loss of echo, the radar level gauge should not be installed in the center of the vaulted roof tank or the horizontal tank.
5. The best installation position of the radar level gauge is at 1/2 of the radius of the container, which can effectively prevent the instrument installed on the tank wall from generating interference echoes.
6. Install the radar level timer. In order to reflect the radar wave back as much as possible to reduce energy loss, ensure that the beam emitted by the probe is as perpendicular to the surface of the material as possible, and the angle of repose of material storage should be considered.

Measuring Principle
FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) technology is adopted by Radar Type Level Transmitter sensor. It works like this: microwave signals with continuous linear changes are sent toward the medium through antenna, the material surface reflects signal waves, which are then received by the antenna. There is frequency difference between transmitting and receiving the signals, LM calculates this difference and tells the level.
